The heritage of Gallery Rugs goes back to 1976, when our Grandfather, Late Mr. Harishchandra Gupta established its foundation in the small hamlet of Bhadohi, India as The Rug Centre. He was joined in 1981 by his son Mr. Umesh Kumar Gupta, who at a very young age took the leadership role in the company and took it to new heights winning numerous national awards along with the way making The Rug Centre a formidable brand in the carpet community globally.

Every step of the process—whether it be the dip dyeing of wool or the intricate task of weaving—is done by hand, where proud artisans keep this time-honored tradition alive, Today, the third generation of the family has envisioned to encapsulate the same love, devotion and care for the contemporary age.
